Ninth Muharram processions continue to be held across the country. Strict security arrangements have been made on the routes of the processions.
Mobile service shut down in various cities
Strict arrangements have been made for the security of 9 Muharram processions across the country. In this regard, mobile phone service has been suspended near the procession routes in different cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Peshawar.
In Karachi, the mobile service is closed in the procession routes from different areas including the main procession and in the areas near the Imambargahs.
On the occasion of 9 Muharram procession, it will be completed in Sector G6, F10 of Islamabad, while in some areas of Sector G7, mobile phone service will remain partially closed till the end of the procession.
According to Islamabad police, the mobile phone service will remain closed till the end of the procession.
Mobile phone service will remain closed on 9 Muharram procession routes in Multan.
Mobile phone service has also been shut down in Quetta on the occasion of 9th Muharram due to security concerns.
Mobile phone service has also been suspended in and around Hangu city.
9 Muharram procession in Karachi
The main procession of 9 Muharram in Karachi will start from Nishtar Park at 1 pm, which will pass through the designated routes and end at Imambargah Hussainiya Iranians in Kharadar.
In Karachi, rain water has been removed from the procession corridors including MA Jinnah Road. However, mud is present in different areas of Bolton Market, Kharadar and Old Karachi.
Before the procession, Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi, while addressing the central assembly of the ninth Muharram, will narrate the virtues and sufferings of the Ahlul Bayt.
After the meeting, the main procession will leave Nishtar Park, which will pass through its designated routes and end at Husseiniya Iranians.
Participants of the procession will offer noon prayers in front of Imambargah Ali Raza on MA Jinnah Road.
Strict security arrangements have been made on the occasion of the main procession, the procession route and the surrounding streets and alleys have been sealed with containers.
The procession is also being monitored by CCTV cameras, while police and Rangers are also deployed for security.
According to a police spokesman, a total of 6,368 personnel have been deployed in Karachi to monitor the procession and provide security, while women personnel are also deployed.
Sharpshooter snipers are also stationed on buildings along the main procession route.
9 Muharram procession in Lahore
The main procession of Zul Jinnah in the image of 9th Muharram in Lahore will start from Imambargah Pando Street. This procession will reach Islampura Pando Street last night and will end.

The 9th Muharram procession in the federal capital Islamabad will be taken out from Imambargah during the 10th G-6/2.

Ancient 9 Muharram procession found in Rohri
An ancient procession of 9th Muharram has been found in Rohri. The procession will end on the evening of 10th Muharram after stopping at various places.
In Rohri, a 500-year-old procession of nine-sided condolences has been recovered from the Imambargah Shah of Iraq and is on its way to its destination, with hundreds of pilgrims and mourners from across the country attending.
The procession passed through the designated routes and reached the place of Mando Khabar. The martyrs will reach the graveyard and end.
On this occasion, signs have been put up at various places along the procession route and anchors have been arranged.
Sharp shooters have also been deployed on the roofs along with CCTV cameras installed on the highly sensitive procession routes.
The main procession of 9th Muharram was found in Peshawar
The main procession of 9th Muharram in Peshawar was recovered from Imambargah Hussainiya Hall.
The procession will pass through Saddar Road, Fakhr-e-Alam Road and Tipu Sultan Road and reach Fawara Chowk where mourners will offer noon prayers.
The mourning procession will end again at Imambargah Hussainiya Hall.
1600 police personnel have been deployed for the security of the procession while 10,600 police personnel are on security duty across the city.
Peshawar's Saddar Bazaar has been completely sealed apart from one entrance, while three scanners have been installed at the entrance for checking.
Ladies police have also been deployed to check on female mourners, while mobile service has also been shut down due to security measures.
9 Muharram processions in different cities
9 in Kandhkot city of Sindh th Muharram procession was recovered from alhsynyh central mosque, which will conclude on the same location to be different routes.
The main procession of mourners will be found in Gujranwala on the occasion of 9th Muharram. Mobile phone service is suspended on this occasion.
According to the spokesperson of the Deputy Commissioner, the mobile phone service in Gujranwala will remain closed till 10 pm.
The main procession of 9th Muharram in Multan will be recovered from Imambargah Mumtazabad for which security arrangements are being made on the procession routes at present.
A total of 64 processions will be taken out in Sargodha today on the occasion of 9th Muharram.
The main procession will pass through various bazaars of the city and after Maghrib prayers will reach Imambargah Block 7.
On the occasion of the ninth Muharram, the citizens of Vehari are visiting the graves of their loved ones in the cemeteries and praying for their forgiveness.
A mourning procession will also be held in Machh area of Bolan district of Balochistan on the occasion of 9th Muharram. Strict security arrangements have been made in the city on this occasion.
In Astor district of Gilgit-Baltistan, as in the rest of the country, gatherings are being held in memory of the martyrs of Karbala and mourning is being held under tight security.
