
In the industrial city of Faisalabad in Punjab, two alleged police encounters have taken place in a single day.
Two dacoits were killed in an encounter in Chak Jamhra while two dacoits were injured in a police encounter in Jaranwala.
According to Faisalabad police spokesman Inspector Amir Waheed, the first police encounter took place in Chak Jhumra area where three dacoits were fleeing after snatching a motorcycle from a citizen.
Upon receiving the information, the patrolling police vehicles arrived. Two dacoits were killed on the spot in an exchange of fire with the dacoits while one of their accomplices managed to escape.
During the second police encounter in Jaranwala, two dacoits were injured and were arrested by the police and shifted to Civil Hospital Jaranwala for medical treatment.
