Tarbela and Mangla dams were completely filled

Pakistan seeks governor, switchgear equipment for 3,480-MW Tarbela Dam  hydro project - Hydro Review

 The Tarbela and Mangla dams, the largest water reservoirs in the country, have filled to their full potential.

According to WAPDA spokesperson, the water level in Tarbela Dam is 1550 feet and in Mangla Dam it is 1242 feet.

The water inflow in Chenab river at Headmarla is 255,400 cusecs, the outflow is 250,400 cusecs while the water inflow in Nowshera Kabul river is 46,600 cusecs and the outflow is 46,600 cusecs.

According to the WAPDA spokesperson, the water storage in Tarbela Dam today is 5.98 million acre feet while in Mangla it is 7.356 million acre feet.

Tarbela has an inflow of 233,600 cusecs and an outflow of 24,400 cusecs.

According to WAPDA spokesperson, water inflow in Mangla is 149,400 cusecs and outflow is 10,000 cusecs.

According to WAPDA spokesperson, the water inflow in the spring is 216,100 cusecs and the outflow is 235,500 cusecs.

At Head Marala, the Chenab River has an inflow of 255,400 cusecs and an outflow of 250,400 cusecs.

According to WAPDA spokesperson, the water storage in Chashma today is 98,000 acre feet, while the total water storage in Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma reservoirs is 13.425 million acre feet.

Due to recent rains, water has been stored at full capacity in Tarbela and Mangla dams after many years.

According to a WAPDA spokesperson, the storage of water will increase hydel production and provide more water for agricultural needs than in previous years.
