Lyari Awami Front says that the rain water of the previous day could not be drained from Lyari so far, due to which the residents are facing difficulties.
Abdul Khaliq Zadran, Organizing Secretary, Lyari Awami Front, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property in Sindh due to recent rains.
He expressed grave concern over non-drainage of rain water in Lyari despite the passage of more than 24 hours.
In a statement, Abdul Khaliq Zadran said that before this, whenever it rained in Lyari, water was drained from the main roads within 3 to 5 hours, but the rain water of the previous day was different from the boiling manholes of sewage. The areas have turned into wastewater ponds.
He said that rot was spreading in the area and there was a danger of spreading various diseases.
Abdul Khaliq Zardani demanded that the pumping stations be activated immediately to draw water and spray it in the area.
